How Romance and Thriller Novels Help Me Beat a Reading Funk
Hey book friends!! Whenever I hit a reading funk (and y'all, it happens often lol), I switch gears to romance or thriller novels. These two genres get my reading groove back on track.
Escape with Romance Reads: It's like a mini-vacay from the real world. 🏖️ These books offer that emotional tug at the heartstrings plus a happy ending. The lovey-dovey journey yet predictable outcomes in these stories soothe my mind. I already know everything will work out fine in the end.
Get Hooked on Thrillers: Now, if I want to spice things up, I pick up a thriller. These books keep me on my toes with twists and turns. I kinda feel like it makes me think yet in sucks me into whatever world is in the book. The mental stimulation from trying to figure out WHO DID IT!?! seriously helps me dive in and changes my energy about reading.
